Tourmaline is the gem of clarity and mindful living. It belongs to silicates- silicones and can be found in all colors of rainbow!
It can be found in red, pastel pink, peach, bright green, yellow, deep blue. Some tourmalines may have more than one color like watermelon which is pink in the middle and green around the outside. Tourmaline has one of the widest color ranges of any gem species, occurring in various shades of virtually every hue. Its price often exceeds the price of a diamond.
In ancient world tourmaline was known only in India and Ceylon and it became famous in Europe after 1700 from Dutch people. Tourmaline got its name from the word “touramali” which Ceylon’s locals used to express something natural and very very small in size.
